  • The Rev. Jason Cox, Rector

After studying music in college and working as a church musician, Jason spent a year with AmeriCorps in the Episcopal Urban Intern Program (EUIP) in Los Angeles, working with the homeless in a transitional housing facility on L.A.’s skid row. This transformational experience helped Jason discern a call to ordained ministry, and after studying at Virginia Theological Seminary, he returned to Los Angeles as the executive director of EUIP (now Jubilee Year LA). During this time, Jason also co-founded the national Episcopal Service Corps.

Following EUIP, Jason served eight years as Senior Associate Rector at St. Columba’s Episcopal Church in Washington, D.C.

Jason writes, "My ministry is focussed on building strong, connected faith communities equipped to make a difference in the world. I believe Jesus calls us to expand God’s reign of justice and peace for all people. The worship, community building, and faith formation we do at church should send us out to work for God’s vision of a world transformed by love."

  • Dr. Joy-LeiLani Garbutt, Director of Music

Joy-Leilani Garbutt comes to St. Luke’s from Washington, D.C. where she served as Minister of Music for Christ Lutheran Church. Her research has been focused on organ music by French female composers of the 19th and 20th centuries.

In the spring of 2018 Joy-Leilani co-founded the Boulanger Initiative, a non-profit organization that advocates for music composed by women through performance, education, research, and commissions.

  • Victoria Fraser, Parish Administrator

Victoria is St. Luke's Parish Administrator. She holds degrees from Smith College, San Francisco Conservatory of Music, University of Notre Dame, and University of Limerick in Ireland. Born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, when not in the office or singing she can be found rowing at sunrise with the South End Rowing Club or hiking, skiing, or at the beach with her dog, Astrid.
